Everything you might need from this office is on this page — the right email address, three forms that route to the right person, every municipal reporting channel, your area’s WhatsApp community, and an assistant that can point you to the rest.
3 addresses
Media, general questions and anything that does not fit the categories below.
Direct correspondence with the Member of Parliament.
Constituency casework, community programmes and service-delivery escalations.

Choose the form that matches your matter. Each one is delivered to a different address within the office, which is what keeps casework and service reports from getting lost in a general inbox.
Media enquiries, general questions, and anything that does not fit the other two forms.
Delivered to info@imraanmoosa.co.za
Casework, community programmes, and matters where you need the office to assist or intervene.
Delivered to yusuf@imraanmoosa.co.za
Report a service delivery problem to the office so it can be followed up and escalated. Please report it to the responsible authority first and include your reference number — that is what makes escalation possible.
Delivered to yusuf@imraanmoosa.co.za
In an emergency, contact the emergency services directly. This office cannot respond to emergencies.
38 groups
These are the community groups the office runs and supports across Lenasia. Join the ones that match where you live and what you need — there is no benefit to joining all of them, and each group stays useful because it stays local.
Water, electricity, refuse, roads and community alerts, group by group across Lenasia.
Vacancies, local hiring, training and skills development posted for Ward 9 and greater Lenasia.
Houses and flats to rent or buy, and property announcements from across the area.
Road closures, incidents, congestion and route information as it happens.
Local businesses, products and services, and community announcements.
Taxi and shuttle services, lift clubs, and school, work and community transport.
Second-hand goods and community trade.

A note on invite links. WhatsApp invite links can be reset by a group administrator at any time. If a link no longer works, contact the office and say which group you are trying to join and you will be sent the current invite.

Power outages, supply interruptions, faulty streetlights, damaged electrical infrastructure, exposed cables, transformer failures, cable theft and meter faults.
Urgent. Report fallen live power lines, electrical fires, exploding transformers and exposed live cables immediately. Do not touch damaged electrical equipment — keep a safe distance and wait for trained City Power personnel.
Burst pipes, water leaks, no water supply, low pressure, damaged water infrastructure and leaking fire hydrants.
Potholes, damaged road surfaces, missing or damaged road signs, damaged speed humps, stormwater drainage problems, faded road markings and dangerous road conditions.
There is currently no public online portal for logging new road or pothole faults with the Johannesburg Roads Agency. Report new faults by calling Joburg Connect or emailing the JRA, and keep the reference number you are given.
Missed refuse collection, uncollected refuse, damaged or missing bins, garden waste enquiries, street cleaning, overflowing public litter bins, and applications for new or replacement bins.
Pikitup provides refuse bins to eligible residential properties. You may apply for a bin for a newly occupied or newly serviced property, or request a replacement for a damaged, lost or stolen bin, subject to Pikitup’s policies.
Traffic lights not working, flashing or faulty signals, damaged traffic light poles or equipment, missing or damaged road signs, faulty pedestrian crossing signals, and dangerous intersections due to signal failures.
Traffic signals in Johannesburg are managed mainly through the City of Johannesburg Transport Department and JRA systems, so reporting through Joburg Connect on 0860 562 874 is the most reliable route.
Urgent. Report urgently where a major intersection has no working traffic lights, where there is a risk of accidents, or where pedestrian safety is affected.
Blocked sewer drains, sewer overflows, sewage leaks, sewage flowing into streets or public areas, damaged sewer infrastructure, damaged or missing manhole covers, and bad smells caused by sewer problems.
Urgent. Report urgently if sewage is flooding roads or homes, if there is a health hazard, or if there is a major sewer pipe burst.
Illegal dumping on streets, pavements and public land; large piles of dumped waste; dumped furniture, rubble and building materials; garden waste dumped illegally; and waste creating health or safety risks.
Pikitup attends to illegal dumping on roads, pavements, streets and council-owned land. Illegal dumping in parks should be reported to Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo, and dumping on private property falls under Environmental Health. Illegal dumping is an offence and may result in fines or prosecution.
Overgrown grass and unmaintained public areas, litter, damaged benches and playground equipment, faulty park lighting, fallen trees or dangerous branches, damaged fences and gates, damaged public toilets, and unsafe conditions in parks.
Parks and public open spaces go to Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo. Illegal dumping on streets and public land goes to Pikitup. Safety or criminal activity should be reported to the South African Police Service or the Johannesburg Metro Police Department.
Safety concerns and criminal activity in public spaces.
Safety or criminal activity must be reported to the South African Police Service or the Johannesburg Metro Police Department. This office can assist with follow-up on community safety matters, but cannot substitute for a police report. In an emergency, contact the police directly.
Housing applications, housing maintenance issues, informal settlement challenges, housing-related service matters and community housing developments.
Housing applications, subsidies and maintenance fall under the City of Johannesburg and the Gauteng Department of Human Settlements. No dedicated online reporting portal for housing enquiries has been supplied to the office — call Joburg Connect, or send the detail to the office and it will be directed to the correct department.
Municipal service challenges, community infrastructure concerns, public facility issues and other matters affecting daily life that do not fall under the categories above.
Joburg Connect on 0860 562 874 is the single entry point for every City of Johannesburg service and is answered around the clock. If you are not sure which entity is responsible, start there and keep the reference number you are given.
